ACLs
Under the National Consumer Credit Protection legislation, ASIC is responsible for regulating credit products and businesses that sell, arrange or advise on them. Under these powers, [see RG206], anyone who engages in certain credit activities, must register with ASIC and are subject to licensing responsibilities under an Australian Credit Licence (ACL).
Two obligations of note when operating under an ACL are related to continuing professional development (“CPD”) of Responsible Managers and Representatives.
At FEP we have developed two straightforward programs which can be completed at your own time with minimum fuss and meet your compliance requirements under RG206 for CPD.
The programs are also accredited as CPD by the Mortgage & Finance Association of Australia (MFAA).
