Custody Training: The Australian Custodial Services Association (ACSA) Accredited Program
ACSA has announced that Financial Education Professionals has been accredited as the provider of The ACSA Accredited Program for those working in custodial services and developing their career in this specialist area.
The ACSA Accredited Program
The program is structured as follows:
Certificate IV in Financial Services
Complete two units:
- Introduction to Financial Markets
- Introduction to Custody
Diploma of Financial Services
Complete the core unit and one elective unit:

Features of the ACSA Accredited Program
- Designed and assessed by experienced industry practitioners
- Each unit is delivered by 2-day interactive workshops, led by experienced Australian industry practitioners
- Assessment conducted at the completion of each unit
- Participants complete the first two mandatory units and then may elect to receive their Certificate in Financial Services. On completion of the Certificate in Financial Services they may then complete the Diploma of Financial Services.
- The program is specifically designed for staff of Australian custodial services firms
- Participants receive comprehensive course materials
- The program content and structure reflects the value chain with custodial services and has been designed in conjunction with the members of ACSA
Course Presentation and Fees
Units are delivered on a shared in-house basis. They are delivered in-house on the premises of ACSA member organisations, on a rotational basis. Staff from any ACSA members may attend a specific 2-day unit, subject to capacity.Fees for each unit include comprehensive subject materials, the 2-day workshop, sample examination questions, the examination, the assessment and certification.
2010 fee per Certificate subject is $1.045.00 + GST per person.
2010 fee per Diploma subject is:
Core Unit: $1,045.00 + GST per person
Elective Unit: $1,150.00 + GST per person
Assessment
There are two types of assessment:- Formal closed-book examination: Each unit has one sixty-minute, closed-book multiple-choice examination. Participants must achieve 70% for successful completion. Sample examination questions are provided at workshops.
- Workplace assessment: Participants in both the Certificate and Diploma course are required to complete a workplace (portfolio) assessment, which will assess skills relevant to the course.

Australian Custodial Services Association (ACSA)
The Australian Custodial Services Association represents the interests of the custodial services industry in Australia. ACSA currently represents members holding securities totally more than $1 trillion in custody and under administration and employing in excess of 2,500 people.
