The RG146 CFA® Gap Training Program has been specifically designed to provide CFA® Charterholders and Candidates with the Australian content and context necessary to achieve RG146 compliance (general advice) in the following knowledge areas:
- Generic Knowledge
- Foreign Exchange
- Managed Investments
The course meets the requirements of those providing general advice to retail clients.
To provide personal advice, you must also complete RG146 Skills.
The course is delivered online. You can access your course materials anywhere and anytime provided you have internet access. You are given 60 days to complete the course.
The assessment comprises an open-book, 50 multiple-choice question exam which you complete online. You will be advised of your result immediately and feedback is provided. If you are not successful in your first attempt, you may resit at no additional cost.
Eligibility – To qualify for admission into this gap program you are required to provide evidence that you have successfully completed at least Level One of the CFA®. If your CFA® qualification was obtained prior to 2010, your application will also need to be accompanied by a CV showing 5 years relevant working experience in the last 8 years. Once you have gained RG146 compliance, ASIC requires that you maintain your compliance by undertaking annual professional development courses relevant to your activities. All advisers should complete a minimum of 20 CPD hours each year. Our CPD program for advisers – cpdevolve – can assist you to meet these continuing training obligations.
