Director

Since 1984, Bill has served clients in the Australian and Asian financial training and education market.

He is one of the founders of Financial Education Professionals Pty Ltd, starting the company in 2001.

He was formerly a senior education, training and international executive with Securities Institute of Australia (SIA).

Bill’s primary focus is working with wholesale markets clients such as asset managers, investment banks, custodial services firms and financial regulators on training needs, course design and development, assessment and evaluation.

Director

Since 1986, Joan has served clients in the Australian financial training and education market.

She is one of the founders of Financial Education Professionals Pty Ltd, starting the company in 2001.

She was formerly a senior education, training and continuing professional education executive with Securities Institute of Australia (SIA).

Joan’s primary focus is working with wholesale markets clients such as investment banks and asset managers on training needs assessment, course delivery and assessment.

KATE WHITELEY

KATE WHITELEY

CEO

Kate has over 18 years experience in financial services education.

Commencing her career in the year 2000 at the Securities Institute of Australia (SIA), she has had business development and operational roles in a number of organisations including Finsia and Kaplan.

Kate joined Financial Education Professionals as Operations Manager in March 2014.

Kate holds a Bachelor of Economics and Bachelor of Arts from Australian National University (ANU) and a Graduate Certificate of Applied Finance from the Securities Institute of Australia.

She also holds a TAE40110 Certificate IV in Training & Assessment.

ANNE WILKINSON

ANNE WILKINSON

National Business Development Manager

During her career Anne has worked in the UK, Asia and Australia. She has worked as a teacher of English as a Second Language in Malaysia and as the Marketing manager in the UK commercial property industry. More recently Anne has enjoyed working in the Australian Financial Services Industry, specifically with Commsec, part of the Commonwealth Bank of Australia.

At Financial Education Professionals, Anne’s role focuses on the building of key client relationships for business development and delivering appropriate and relevant training programmes on their behalf.

Anne holds a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) from the University of London and a Graduate Diploma of Marketing from the London School of Marketing.

She also holds a TAE40110 Certificate IV in Training & Assessment.

Belinda Brown

Belinda Brown

Manager, Industry Capability & Content Strategy

Belinda has over 10 years experience within the financial services sector, spanning various technical education and communications roles.

After five years at iSentia, Belinda branched into course management at Finsia Education. She then served as an editor at AFMA, managing accreditation and continuing education content.

Following this, Belinda held communication roles at the Australian Institute of Company Directors and Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand.

Belinda’s role at FEP focuses on putting the who and the why at the forefront of everything we do. From our technical material to content marketing and digital strategy, she inspires how we go about making us and the financial services industry look and sound their best.

Belinda holds a Masters of Arts (Art History and Theory) from the University of Sydney and a Graduate Certificate in Interactive Multimedia from UTS.

Kylie Ashton

Marketing Executive

Kylie has over 17 years experience within the financial services sector.

She commenced her career as a classroom teacher in Australia and the UK. She then joined the corporate sector at the Securities Institute of Australia (SIA).
Following this Kylie held various marketing roles at Teachers Credit Union, ING Australia and ANZ. At ANZ she was Customer Marketing Manager, focusing on retention initiatives within the life insurance division.

Kylie’s role at Financial Education Professionals focuses on developing strategy initiatives to delivering campaigns.

Kylie holds a Bachelor of Education (Macquarie University), Diploma in Financial Markets (SIA) and Graduate Certificate in Marketing, (UTS).

Marlene Grobler

Marlene Grobler

Acting Operations Manager

Marlene has over 5 years of customer service experience with a strong focus on retention and customer loyalty.
She worked at Hollard Insurance for 2 years, where her main role was retention and administration of various brands including Australian Seniors, Real Insurance and Aussie Home Loans. She was in the customer loyalty team, who won team of the year at the annual conference.

She joined Financial Education Professionals in 2016 as a part time Client Liaison, while she was completing her studies. With a strong focus on enhancing customer satisfaction and experience, Marlene was appointed as Acting Operations Manager. She is a passionate and eager to learn and further develop within the financial services sector.
Marlene holds a Bachelor of Commerce, with a double major in Marketing and Media Law at Macquarie University.

Emma Ritchie

Training Administrator

Emma has 3 years of experience in customer service, having previously worked for the Newcastle Knights in the Membership and Ticketing team where she focussed on customer service, retention of members and the administration of ticketing.

Emma joined the FEP Operations team in February 2018 as the Training Administrator and focusses on providing prompt and friendly service to all clients as well as administrating their training and improving their online learning experience.

Emma holds a Bachelor of Business from the University of Newcastle (UON).

Devasha R. Chettri

Devasha R. Chettri

Operations Manager

Devasha has over 15 years of customer service experience within the telecommunications and the financial services sector across UK, South Africa and Australia.

Beginning her career in UK as a Quality Assurance Officer her role focused on meeting FSA and OFCOM regulation. She continued this role in South Africa. Devasha then went on to work for Link Group in Australia, providing superannuation service to members, financial advisers and employers before joining FEP.

Devasha’s role at Financial Education Professionals focuses on customer communication, service and administration.

Devasha holds a Bachelor of Arts (Hons), University of KZN (South Africa) and a Bachelor of Business, Williams Business College (Australia).

She also holds a TAE40110 Certificate IV in Training & Assessment.

Deborah Gunawan

Deborah Gunawan

Training Administrator

Deborah has over 16 years of customer service experience in communications, sales and Insurance.

Deborah started her career with Starwood Resorts in communications then moved to many various roles and departments within the company over a course of 10 years.

Shortly after, Deborah worked for Bupa Insurance as a retention, sales and service consultant before joining FEP in 2016.

Her role with us is Training Administrator, focusing on office support and customer service.

Deborah holds a certificate in Travel & Tourism (Sydney TAFE).
