This course is designed to assist Responsible Mangers to meet their organisational competency requirements for their Australian Financial Services Licence. All Responsible Managers are required to maintain their organisational competence. This means that they are required to maintain and update their knowledge and skills required to carry out the role of Responsible Manager.
This course covers your primary responsibilities and additional topics are added depending on the regulatory environment, legal change and market issues.
The topics covered in 2017 are:
- Revision: Responsibilities of responsible managers
- Understanding general vs personal advice
- Market misconduct
- Managing and escalating breaches
- Case files – recent ASIC activity
The course is updated annually in January which allows you to regularly update your CPD.
The 2017 course format allows you to complete one topic at a time, each topic being assessed by 5 multiple-choice questions. When you have successfully completed the course you can access your certificate and 10 CPD points will be recorded on your Record of Learning.
