Our Approved Qualifications
As a Registered Training Organisation (RTO 90725), we are approved to offer NSW Smart & Skilled funding for the following qualifications:
- FNS41422 Certificate IV in General Insurance
- FNS41820 Certificate IV in Financial Services
For eligible applicants, NSW traineeships with Financial Education Professionals are fee-free until 30th June 2027. This training is subsidised by the NSW Government.
Our programs are built around real-world examples and best practice, enabling trainees to apply their new knowledge directly to the workplace. Because learning happens alongside employment, employees can make an immediate impact while building long-term capability.
Certificate IV qualifications are designed to deepen knowledge and skills across financial services, setting graduates up for greater responsibility and more senior roles.
What is NSW Smart and Skilled?
Smart and Skilled is a NSW Government program that offers subsidised training for courses on the NSW Skills List, which identifies industry areas that need more qualified workers.
What is a traineeship?
A traineeship is an employment-based training program where an individual works in a paid role while completing a formal qualification through a Registered Training Organisation (RTO). Traineeships are more than just training — traineeships combine formal learning with real-world experience, giving employees both the technical skills and confidence to succeed.
For individuals, it’s a career launchpad. For employers, it’s an opportunity to grow a capable, loyal workforce.

Bringing traineeships into your team: Steps for employers

- Training Contract: If the trainee is eligible, the AASN forwards the Training Contract to FEP for processing.
- Information and Enrolment: The trainee receives detailed program information along with an enrolment form to complete.
- Funding Approval: We submit the trainee’s details to NSW Smart & Skilled for funding approval. Once confirmed, a Notification of Enrolment letter is issued, formally accepting the trainee into the program.
- Course Enrolment: The trainee is officially enrolled in their qualification after one business day of receiving all signed documentation.
- Employer Support & Workplace Development: Employers play a key role by providing trainees with meaningful workplace learning opportunities, time to complete study requirements, and ongoing supervision to help them apply new skills in practice.
- Ongoing RTO Support: Throughout the traineeship, our Student Support Team monitors progress and provides assistance to both the trainee and employer to ensure successful completion.
