Sound English language, literacy, numeracy and communication skills are required as these skills are incorporated in each subject. A pre-entry assessment is used to determine whether applicants have appropriate Language Literacy and Numeracy skills (LLN) to enable a successful outcome in their chosen course.
You may be required to undertake an LLN assessment for our Nationally Recognised Training Qualifications.
The team at FEP understands that effective compliance training is not just about delivering regulatory content; it’s about creating learning that is engaging, relevant and impactful for organisations and their employees.
We design training experiences that resonate with individuals, ensuring they gain practical knowledge and skills that are immediately applicable to their roles.
To successfully study at Financial Education Professionals, students are expected to have proficient technology-related skills, plus;
- A high-speed stable internet connection to access learning materials and assessments
- A unique email address.
- A smartphone – select assignment questions ask you to upload audio or video recordings as supplementary evidence.
Assessment happens in a variety of ways. Being prepared can save you valuable time and make the process easier for you.
Be prepared to talk about your job roles and your work history. Have a resume or jot down a few points about where you have worked, either paid or unpaid, and what you did there.
Provide your position description and any performance appraisals you have that show your contribution to training and assessment in your workplace.
Think about who can confirm your skill level. Think about current or recent supervisors who have seen you work within the past 2 years and who will be able to confirm your skills. You may want to collect evidence from them to provide to your assessor. You may also have community contacts or even clients themselves who can also similarly vouch for your skill level.
Collect work samples that show the quality of your work as an adviser or broker and send them to FEP. Normally, variety is more valuable than supplying multiples of the same type of work samples.
Provide any certificates or statements from in-house training or formal training you have done in the past.
Your USI is your individual education number for life. It is a compulsory requirement for all Australian students who have studied or are studying nationally recognised training. It also creates a government authenticated record of your vocational education and training (VET) achievements regardless of the training provider from 2015 onwards.
It is a condition of enrolment with Financial Education Professionals that you have a USI. This is collected as part of the enrolment process.
Visit www.usi.gov.au to learn more or create your USI.
